When we cook, we use seasoning and spices only for adding good taste on that food. What we don’t realize is all those seasoning has big impact to our health, whether is small or big amount. They are good as antioxidant, anticancer, aromatherapy and even for beauty.

The vegetarian diet so often associated with good health and lack of disease relies heavily on the use of spice. Add some chili pepper, cumin or turmeric to mashed potatoes or rice. Sprinkle marjoram or rosemary on your salads, and dress up cottage cheese with whatever spicy flavor appeals to you. Spice up your veggie juices and smoothies. What ever you do, adding spice means adding a wealth of health benefits.

Cinnamon
Cinnamon prevents insulin resistance even in a high-fructose diet. Cinnamon is anti-microbial and can stop the growth of bacteria, fungi and yeast. Cinnamon has anti-clotting and anti-inflammatory properties, which reduce clumping of blood platelets. Cinnamon is one of the richest sources of antioxidants.

Coriander
